Adenosine-2′-monophosphate is a derivative of AMP with the phosphate bound at the 2'-poisition as opposed to the 5'-position in AMP. Adenosine-2'-monophosphate and other AMP derivatives have been described as tools for determining the mechanism of ATP-stimulated cyclic AMP response in NG108-15 cells. The crystal structure of ribonuclease T1 was reported by co-crystallization with Adenosine-2'-monophosphate. A photoaffinity label for the coenzyme site of porcine NADP-specific isocitrate dehydrogenase has been reported which was elaborate from Adenosine-2'-monophosphate as a starting material.
